About the forecast areas

The 2020 population forecast for Titahi Bay South-Mana Island is 3,732, and is forecast to grow to 4,195 by 2048.

Tītahi Bay South-Mana Island helps to make the suburb of Tītahi Bay. Tītahi Bay South is bounded by the Tasman Sea in the north and west, Toms Road, Tireti Road, Main Road and Tītahi Bay Road in the east, and Elsdon-Takapūwāhia in the south. Mana Island is located 2.5km to the west of Tītahi Bay. Tītahi, translated, means 'one cabbage tree'. Mana is a considerable shortening of Te Mana o Kupe ki te Moana Nui a Kiwa ('the mana of Kupe in crossing the great ocean of Kiwa'), or its alternate Te Mana o Kupe ki Aoteroa.
