The Wairarapa is a geographical region of New Zealand located in the south-eastern corner of the North Island. It is located north of Wellington City and is bounded by the Tararua and Horowhenua District in the north, the Pacific Ocean in the east, Cook Strait to the south and the territorial authorities of Hutt City, Upper Hutt City and Kapiti Coast District to the west.
